Jello recipe # 1

Dad's birthday cake!

The decorated cake! (The fisherman, pole and tree trunk are melted chocolate chips. yummm.)

Dad really liked it! (He loves fishing!) and no worries, my nephew is wearing his bathing trunks.

THIS is the inside of the yummy cake!

A few copied journals from RvB so I can have them in my journal :)

August 5th, 2007 That job.

I didn't get it. I'm bummed... but not too bummed, I know God
has something better for me. I prayed a lot about it and I was
going to take getting the job offer as meaning I should accept the
job... so it is actually reassuring, a little, that I didn't get it. I know
it means we are still in my parent's house.......... but I'm so excited
to see what the next opportunity is.

The principal at the school called me and left a voicemail - I
"presented myself very well" and was in the running to the end,
someone with more experience got the job. He said that if it doesn't
work out with this secretary, they'll call me... which means I really
was in the running to the end :) and I did do a great job, that was
nice to know.

So... keep praying :) for Nightbane too, it is easier to get job ideas
for a Business Major like mine than a Communication Major.

August 1st, 2007 Interview
Oh.... my..... goodness. :) I had an interview today right? At
Livingston Christian Schools. They need a secretary. :) It went SO
WELL!! I don't know if I'll get the job, but I have no problem with
how the interview went... I would be excited but not too surprised
if I got it. :D Seriously, it went so well! I'm horrible at typing out
conversations... to suffice it to say that I had good to great answers
for all of their questions and I am really happy with how it went. It
isn't the absolute-greatest job ever as far as pay and benefits go (no
benefits. pay starts at $10/hr at 35hrs per week... after 90 days a
$1-2 raise... maybe more after that) but it could be great. Pray
about it, I know I am! They are deciding on Friday... so I should
hear by Monday. :)

July 30th, 2007 Title: Things I like at Ikea
Last Friday, I went to Ikea in Canton with my mom, sister-in-law, her
brother and Mom and my nephew (her son) :) and wow, what a trip!
Ikea is fun, if you like 'home stores' kinds of places, I can almost
guarantee you WILL like Ikea. :) *sings* These are a few of my
favorite things:

I bought this: we'll probably put it in a hall or our living room

and I bought this laundry bag: I'm going to buy or make more so
sorting can be easy!

This is where the "I want"s start :)

That bookcase is massive! Dimensions: Width: 36 5/8 "
Depth: 12 5/8 " Height: 78 " for $100, solid wood!

Don't let the picture fool you! This is also gigantic... it seats three
people easily on each side... you could put one on each end if you
wanted.

This bed frame? So nice! It is very sturdy-feeling and not too big or
skinny-looking.

Mmmmmhmm, I like this dresser. :) It is expensive, so it might stay a
wish

A lot of you may not know my love of all things baby... :) most of you
do. This is my new favorite-est crib! It is the perfect height for my
short self and it turns into an adorable toddler bed. AND it is $60
cheaper than the cheapest comparable Target crib.

This light? I love it. Its home will be over a crib! :) A light/mobile
combo if you ask me! I'd probably trim off those spike looking things,
don't want those in my baby's head/mouth/face/anywhere unsafe or
painful!

Okay... I think that's good for now. :) By the way, I'm not pregnant! :) I
just love baby-ness! Oh yea, and my mom has decided that our first
child will be a girl named Sophie :) My mom's cute, I like her.
